A famous pop singer is making some disturbing accusations about her former spouse as they endure the finalization of their divorce. Sia, the Australian musician known best for her 2014 smash hit “Chandelier,” claimed in a court filing Tuesday her estranged husband Daniel Bernad was investigated for possessing child pornography, according to PEOPLE. The singer said the Los Angeles Police Department’s investigation into allegation of child pornography against Bernad has been inconclusive and is now closed, although she still wishes not to grant him custody of their child. The claim came just one day after Bernad filed for sole custody of their 19-month old son Somersault Wonder, alleging that Sia was “a serious and immediate danger” due to her previous struggles with drug abuse. Bernad said the “Cheap Thrills” singer was an “unfit and unreliable parent struggling with substance abuse and addiction.” He also requested $77,245 a month in child support. Bernad, a radiation oncologist who founded a ketamine clinic with the singer, said Sia was secretly hospitalized for two weeks in September for what seemed to be an allergic reaction but that she had “tested positive for barbiturates and benzodiazepines with no legitimate medical explanation.” Sia, 49, said Bernad’s allegations are misleading and financially motivated. “Dan’s attempt to weaponize my past sobriety journey — an issue long resolved and well-documented — serves no legitimate purpose and is intended only to distort the facts and undermine my credibility before this Court," Sia wrote in her court filings. “His willingness to dredge up decades-old history to serve his own financial and strategic interests demonstrates the extent to which he will go, even at the expense of his child and the child’s mother.” The Grammy-nominated singer, who filed for divorce back in March, also said that she is currently in a program that where she undergoes weekly testing and has a sober companion. “My recovery has been a cornerstone of my life and one of the primary reasons I chose to separate from Dan, whose ongoing engagement in a nightlife and recreational drug-use lifestyle is incompatible with a healthy environment for our child,” Sia wrote.
