Poonawalla Fincorp Limited (PFL), a Cyrus Poonawalla Group-promoted NBFC focused on consumer and MSME lending, has announced the rollout of five new AI-powered solutions as part of its enterprise-wide digital transformation and risk-first strategy. The new systems include an Early Warning System (EWS) for workforce risk, a Travel Bot to enhance operational mobility, RegIntel for compliance intelligence, an ER Governance Tool for managing employee relations, and an AI-driven Suspicious Transaction Reporting (STR) mechanism to strengthen financial crime compliance. With these deployments, PFL is embedding artificial intelligence into its core business operations—moving beyond automation to build intelligent, scalable, and compliance-ready systems. By shifting from reactive to predictive and prescriptive models, the company aims to reinforce its position as a digitally confident, governance-driven, and future-ready NBFC. Arvind Kapil, Managing Director & CEO of Poonawalla Fincorp, said: “We at Poonawalla Fincorp, now with 45 AI projects on the table are reimagining how our organisation works by infusing intelligence into every part of our ecosystem. Be it providing real-time regulatory clarity, or improving the accuracy of compliance reporting, predicting and preventing attrition, strengthening employee governance or simplifying travel operations - each of these AI-led solutions is designed to make us more agile, transparent, and future-ready”. He added, “ The depth of AI projects across different and diverse departments within the company, we believe, makes it an industry first approach, with couple of them being game changers. This also marks an important step in our journey to build a trusted, technology-driven enterprise that empowers our people and elevates how we work.” The Suspicious Transaction Reporting (STR) system uses AI/ML to strengthen AML compliance by reducing false positives and improving reporting accuracy. RegIntel serves as an AI-driven compliance assistant, autonomously addressing employee queries and delivering real-time regulatory insights. The Early Warning System (EWS) predicts workforce attrition using deep learning and tree-based algorithms, enabling proactive retention strategies. The Employee Relation (ER) Governance Tool leverages past case data to provide AI-based recommendations and ensure transparent, audit-ready documentation. The Travel Bot, integrated with Microsoft Teams, automates cab bookings and streamlines travel communication while maintaining policy compliance. AI continues to be a strategic differentiator for PFL, driving innovation across risk, compliance, HR, and governance. The company is currently scaling 45 AI projects, with 16 already completed, reinforcing its AI-first and future-ready approach. Published on October 27, 2025
