Asked about PM Hristijan Mickoski’s comments on “hybrid attacks” in relation to the Drisla, Vardariste, and Trubarevo fires, SDSM leader Venko Filipce, on Monday, referred to them as “PR drama”. He alleged that the PM is using topics from the field of security to manipulate in an unfounded manner.
“If we’re really under attack, where’s the Security Council? Where’s the Army? Where’s the Defence Ministry? Why hasn’t NATO been informed? None of that has happened”, the SDSM leader emphasised.
On the other hand, Interior Minister Pance Toskovski stated that there were indications in relation to the PM’s comments. However, citing the interest of the investigation, he declined to present more details.
Also, Toskovski called on all institutions to take measures within their respective competences and do their job preventively. Furthermore, he appealed to inspectors to take on-site action. He is adamant that the investigation will be carried out at all levels. Intelligence agencies will be involved as well.
In the ethnic Albanian bloc, DUI levelled fierce criticism at Environment Minister Izet Mexhiti, to which VLEN stated that it had been during DUI’s Naser Nuredini’s term as Environment Minister that the permit for operations of the waste company in Trubarevo had been issued.
