Birmingham Police Inspector Dan Thomas, said: “We know how important the coach station is to Birmingham, and we want the area around Digbeth to be as welcoming as possible for everyone passing through. “Our work with partners not just in Digbeth but across the city will continue, as we are completely committed to acting on the feedback we receive from residents, business, and visitors. Sgt David Gregory, who led the day’s operation, said: “This was a real success, and our officers had lots of positive feedback from people passing through – which we really appreciate. “But it’s important to stress that our work does not stop here. “Patrols in this area will continue, and I would urge anyone with concerns to report them to us so we can take action.” Russell Jinks, Regional Manager for Coach Stations at National Express, added: “At National Express, the safety and security of our customers and colleagues is always our top priority. “We are delighted to work closely with West Midlands Police and other key stakeholders in the Digbeth area to address anti-social behaviour. “A visible police presence at our coach stations helps to reassure passengers, deter crime and ensure everyone feels safe and supported when they travel with us.”
