It is understand it was filmed on Halloween night (October 31). A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police said officers were aware of the incident and were 'reviewing the footage'. The footage shows violence erupting in Piccadilly Gardens. People can be seen kicking and punching each other amid a crowd of onlookers, many of them recording on their phones.
