The latest Nintendo Direct brought word of a new Pokemon spin-off. It’s called Pokemon Pokopia and it takes nods from builder and lifestyle games. Pokemon Pokopia is set for a 2026 release on Switch 2.

The trailer for Pokemon Pokopia shows a Ditto transforming into a person. From there, Ditto meets various Pokemon, and harnesses their abilities to craft and tend to the land. We see it use Bulbasaur’s grass powers to plant crops, and Squirtle’s water power to water them. As players build and expand, they can construct homes for their Pokemon to live in.

Pokemon Pokopia will launch in 2026. That puts it in the same launch year as Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave and Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, which were also announced during today’s Direct.
