Pokemon Pokopia was revealed back in September as the first Pokemon lifestyle simulation game. Originally given a 2026 release window, Nintendo has announced that Pokemon Pokopia will arrive on March 5, 2026. Nintendo announced the release date for Pokemon Pokopia in a post on X. There was no new trailer, screenshots, or game details, but we now know that the game will hit Switch 2 in early March. In Pokemon Pokopia, players play as Ditto, a shapeshifting Pokemon. While Ditto assumes the form of a human-like person, they’ll use their power to harness the abilities of various Pokemon to form the land, grow crops, and build structures. Pokemon Pokopia was revealed during the September 2025 Nintendo Direct. It’s being developed by Koei Tecmo and will be a Switch 2 exclusive. Pokemon Pokopia now joins the likes of 007 First Light and Saros as major games coming in March 2026. 2026 will likely be a big year for the Pokemon franchise, as the series will celebrate its 30th anniversary in February.
