Pokémon Legends: Z-A - All Alpha Pokémon Locations

Alpha Pokémon are a special variety in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, providing players with an extra challenge. These Alphas are easily recognizable by their larger size and their glowing red eyes. They're typically found in Wild Zones throughout Lumiose City, although some of them spawn on rooftops instead. Although Alpha Pokémon aren't statistically different from other members of their species, they usually start at a higher level, and always include a move that they wouldn't otherwise be able to learn. This can make them powerful additions to any team. Do note that the following list of Alpha Pokémon is a work in progress. We'll continue to add more Alphas as we discover them in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Check out our Pokémon Legends: Z-A guide hub for more in the meantime. All Alpha Pokémon Locations In Pokémon Legends: Z-A Alpha Budew (Level 17) The Alpha Budew variant spawns in Wild Zone 2, right on the large central island in the middle of the water. Mine came with the extra move Swift. Alpha Binacle (Level 19) Just like the Budew, the Alpha Binacle spawns in Wild Zone 2, although I found this one in the northwestern part of the area. Its extra move is X Scissor, a Bug-type attack. Alpha Spinarak (Level 20) The Alpha Spinarak spawns in Wild Zone 4. It appears on the side of the building in the southern part of the area. It comes with the extra move Dig. Alpha Skiddo (Level 20) Alpha Skiddo spawns in Wild Zone 3. For me, it appeared in the southwestern quadrant of this circular area, but since this Wild Zone is a little more open, it may show up elsewhere for you. Its extra move is the Psychic attack Zen Headbutt. Alpha Gastly (Level 21) Alpha Gastly can only be found during the day in Wild Zone 4. I found it in the northwest part of the cemetery, just off the path that extends vertically across the west side of the Wild Zone. Alpha Flabébé (Level 22) Alpha Flabébé can be found on top of the building pictured above, just southwest of Wild Zone 8. You'll need to climb the ladder on one of the other buildings in the block, then walk across a narrow plank to get to it. Alpha Litleo (Level 24) Alpha Litleo spawns in the small stone structure inside Wild Zone 3. It's usually sleeping, so if you approach while crouching from the east side, you can often get the drop on it and catch it immediately with a Quick Ball. If not, burn through its HP with your best Water types. It comes with the extra move Thunder Fang. Alpha Bellsprout (Level 24) Alpha Bellsprout appears along the main road through Wild Zone 5. Its extra move is Knock Off. Alpha Whirlipede (Level 24) The Alpha Whirlipede spawns at level 24, on the eastern side of Wild Zone 5. Getting there is a little more complicated: Head to the western part of Wild Zone 5, in the small isolated area off the main road. Use a Water-type attack to get rid of the mounds of poison blocking the area to the west. Drop down and pass through the tunnel to find the Alpha Whirlipede. Alpha Venipede (Level 27) Alpha Venipede spawns in the same eastern area of Wild Zone 5 as Whirlipede does. It sits on a little raised patch of grass above the running water. Its extra move is Spikes. Alpha Staryu (Level 31) The Alpha Staryu can be found in Wild Zone 2 on the southeast island, but only at night. You'll have to go around the long way from the entrance, working your way clockwise to cross the shallow water in the northeast. Its extra move is Ice Beam. Alpha Magikarp (Level 32) The Alpha Magikarp spawns in the same place as the Alpha Staryu, on the southeast island of Wild Zone 2, but only during the day. Being a Magikarp, it is one of the easier Wild Pokémon to catch. It does, however, come with Hydro Pump, which makes it a bit more competitive in battle. Alpha Fletchinder (Level 32) Alpha Fletchinder appears right in the middle of Wild Zone 7. It'll probably find you before you find it. Alpha Houndoom (Level 32) Alpha Houndoom spawns along North Boulevard in Wild Zone 6. This is an extremely aggressive Alpha, surrounded by several smaller Houndoom, so come prepared for a fight. Alpha Krokorok (Level 38) An Alpha Krokorok spawns near the northwest corner of Wild Zone 8, but because this Wild Zone is a little more open, you may find it in a slightly different location. Its extra move is Aerial Ace. I found this to be one of the more difficult Alphas to catch, because Krokorok is surrounded by Ground-type minions. Use a powerful Water, Grass, or Ice-type with area of effect attacks to make crowd control easier. Alpha Manectric (Level 41) The Alpha Manectric spawns on top of the western building block in Wild Zone 9. Its extra move is Ice Fang. Alpha Meowstic (Level 41) Alpha Meowstic appears on the roof of the central building block in Wild Zone 9. Its extra move is Earth Power. Alpha Pikachu (Level 42) Alpha Pikachu is located on the roof of the northernmost building in Wild Zone 6. It only spawns at night. Its extra move is Iron Tail. Alpha Sharpedo (Level 41) There's an Alpha Sharpedo located along the canals of Wild Zone 10, near the center of the area. Take the stairs down at any point and stick to the narrow walkway to see if it spawns. Alpha Pidgeot (Level 42) Fast travel to the Hibernal Pokémon Center. Head southwest along Hibernal Avenue until you see a holovator on your left. Take the holovator up to the roof of the building pictured above to find the Alpha Pidgeot. Alpha Watchog (Level 43) The Alpha Watchog can be found on the roof of the building along the eastern border of Wild Zone 10. Its extra move is Gunk Shot.
