Now, she's getting backlash from MAGA once again for her commentary on former college swimmer and vocal anti-trans conservative Riley Gaines. If you missed it, Riley recently expressed her displeasure at seeing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez support NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani on stage at a rally. "We're being destroyed from within," Riley wrote in response to a photo of the two and Sen. Bernie Sanders. Well, Welch responded in a podcast episode. "If I were to say whose more Christ-like, I would pick AOC... a million times over you, Riley Gaines." "Riley Gaines, all you do is hate on people," she continued. "You are wound up like a cheap clock over trans people. You show them no grace, no compassion... And then you have the audacity to get on television and try to lecture people who fight for the people that are suffering." "You try to act like you're better than they are," she continued. "You're an insufferable twat." "Nobody likes you, and no matter what, you will always have been the dumb bitch that tied for fifth place, and the only place that you could get a job is at bottom-feeder Fox News, you insufferable twat. Nobody likes you, except for the other fake Christians... So fuck you, Riley Gaines," she concluded. Online, some people condemned Welch... ...and even went as far as to call her disgusting... ...others applauded her approach. "Holy shit," one person wrote on X. "We don't need the 'Joe Rogan of the left' we have her." "One of the fundamental political imbalances in America is that the far-right have taken over the GOP and spent the last 15 years telling everyone who's not them to get fucked, meanwhile the Democrats have been playing this 'can't we all just get along' shit. No more! Do this!" another said. In response to Welch, Riley Gaines released the following statement: "They say these things about me merely because I said men are not women. That's it.
