Greater Noida: Trade show to spotlight UP’s industrial and cultural strengths
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS 2025) tomorrow at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida. The event, in its third edition, will showcase Uttar Pradesh’s achievements in industrial growth, agriculture, culture, and innovation.
Key highlights of UPITS 2025
The trade show is being organised to promote Uttar Pradesh as a global business and cultural hub. Russia has been announced as the partner country this year, highlighting India’s deepening trade and diplomatic ties with Moscow.
The event will feature:
Participation of over 2,500 exhibitors across various industries.
A dedicated One District One Product (ODOP) pavilion, displaying the state’s signature handicrafts, carpets, brassware, and agricultural goods.
A Russia–India Business Dialogue, designed to strengthen bilateral investment and technology partnerships.
Preparations underway
Authorities in Greater Noida have undertaken significant infrastructure upgrades to ensure smooth conduct of the event. Roads have been repaired, traffic plans implemented, and parking facilities expanded to manage the large number of visitors. The police have issued an advisory to regulate traffic and ensure security.
Global partnerships and investment scope
Officials said UPITS 2025 is expected to draw strong interest from global investors and trading partners. The state government has projected the trade show as a platform to highlight Uttar Pradesh’s transformation into a business-friendly state under its industrial and startup policies.
Russia’s participation adds weight to the international dimension of the event, with expectations of new collaborations in energy, agriculture, defence, and cultural exchanges.
With Prime Minister Modi’s inauguration, UPITS 2025 is set to become a key platform for Uttar Pradesh to demonstrate its strengths across industries, agriculture, culture, and innovation. The event is also expected to expand India’s trade diplomacy and showcase UP as a rising economic engine of the country.
