Planned WWE Wrestlepalooza Match Moved to Another Show: Report

It appears the WWE Wrestlepalooza card will be taking place without a key world title match. Earlier in the week, fans noticed a Wrestlepalooza-themed t-shirt that featured all of the matches scheduled for Saturday’s event in Indianapolis.Featured on the shirt was a graphic advertising Tiffany Stratton vs. Nia Jax vs. Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship, which hadn’t been made official. While some assumed that WWE leaked the match, it reportedly won’t be happening inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Bodyslam.net reports that the triple threat match has been pushed back to the Sept. 26 episode of “Friday Night SmackDown.”It was reported by WrestleVotes that WWE was waiting on Stratton’s status for Wrestlepalooza, as she wasn’t cleared to compete in a six-woman tag team match at “NXT Homecoming.”More News: Popular WWE Raw Star Expected to Return ImminentlyTiffany Stratton’s Moonsault Spot Gone AwryInjury rumors surfaced after Stratton appeared to take a nasty spill during a moonsault spot outside of the ring on last week’s episode of “SmackDown.” During a singles match against Cargill, Stratton’s head bounced on the floor during the routine spot.Jax interfered in the match to ambush both Stratton and Cargill. Fans and experts noted that Jax was cautious with Stratton during the post-fight segment. What’s Official For WWE Wrestlepalooza?WWE Wrestlepalooza currently has six matches booked, including the return of AJ Lee, who will be teaming with CM Punk to take on World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch. This will be Lee’s first wrestling match since the March 30, 2015 episode of “Monday Night Raw.”Fans will also witness a renewed rivalry between John Cena and Brock Lesnar. Cena has just three more appearances scheduled after Wrestlepalooza before he retires as an in-ring performer. As for Lesnar, this will be his first match since “SummerSlam 2023,” when he was pinned by the current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.More News:WWE has Major Plans for Fan-Favorite Star: ReportTriple H Teases Surprises For WWE WrestlepaloozaFormer WWE Champion Is Set To Make Surprise ReturnFor more on WWE content, head to Newsweek Sports.
