Pittsburgh FBI Office Attack: Car Rams Into FBI Building, Officials Call It 'Act of Terror'

In a shocking security breach at the FBI building in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a man deliberately rammed his car into the entrance gate of the Pittsburgh FBI office early Wednesday morning. Authorities have classified the incident as an “act of terror” and launched an urgent manhunt to track down the suspect. The event unfolded around 2:40 am, when a white Toyota sedan sped into one of the secure gates of the FBI Pittsburgh headquarters. According to the FBI Pittsburgh field office, the driver jumped out of the vehicle, pulled an American flag from the backseat, and threw it onto the damaged gate before fleeing on foot. Suspect Identified As Penn Hills Resident Investigators identified the suspect as Donald Henson, a resident of Penn Hills, near Pittsburgh. While no FBI agents or staff were injured, the FBI Pittsburgh division said Henson remains at large. Officials added that while he does not appear to be armed, he has a documented history of mental health problems. Assistant Special Agent in Charge Christopher Giordano told CBS News: “We are treating this as a targeted act of terror against the FBI.” Bomb Squad Deployed, Manhunt Intensifies The situation prompted the deployment of a bomb squad to inspect the vehicle outside the Pittsburgh FBI office. The agency confirmed that no explosives were found but warned residents in Pittsburgh – the city in Pennsylvania – to remain alert. Nearby witnesses reported hearing screeching tires and loud shouting before the man abandoned the car. Local resident Nakeisha Brown told WTAE that the suspect appeared aggressive before disappearing into the night. FBI’s Warning To The Public The FBI in Pittsburgh has urged anyone who spots Donald Henson to avoid confrontation and immediately call law enforcement. The attack adds to a growing list of threats faced by federal agencies, raising fresh concerns about the security of the FBI building in Pittsburgh. This incident also comes at a time when the FBI physical fitness test and recruitment drives are underway nationwide, drawing additional attention to the agency.
