Ocean City lost 3-2 to Toms River South in the South Jersey Group III semifinals Saturday. Set scores were 25-23, 21-25, 25-19, 22-25, 12-15. Deana Jespersen, who led the Rowan University women's volleyball team to two New Jersey Athletic Conference titles and two NCAA Division III Tournament appearances, has died after a battle with breast cancer, the school announced Thursday.
