Photos & Video: Gombey Festival Showcase The Gombey Festival Showcase was successfully held on Sunday, October 19 at the Botanical Gardens after being postponed from the previous day due to the less than welcoming weather. The popular annual event serves to showcase the island’s various Gombey troupes, and this year Kent Henry was honoured at the event, with Minister of Tourism & Transport, Culture & Sport Owen Darrell stating, “Kent Henry represents the heart and spirit of the Gombeys, through discipline, dedication, and a deep love for our culture.
