As with the Disney Wish and Treasure, the atrium of the new Disney Destiny cruise ship is considered a Grand Hall. It features the first-ever silver accents on the Black Panther-inspired sculpture. Disney Destiny Grand Hall The three-story Grand Hall serves as both a central gathering space and entertainment hub for guests. Wakanda is honored through design details. Insights from the Black Panther movies helped create the Disney Destiny Grand Hall, including metalwork on the pillars that mimics the banded armor and stacked jewelry found in Wakanda. A chandelier inspired by the meteorite that brought vibranium to Wakanda is also featured in the Grand Hall, pictured above. A balcony above the stage is the perfect place for Minnie to greet guests aboard the Disney Destiny. Black Panther Statue Each Disney Cruise Line ship has a character statue in the atrium. The Disney Destiny’s bronze statue depicts Black Panther. This is also the first-ever statue on a Disney cruise ship to feature silver accents, reminiscent of the Black Panther’s suit, as well as some purple accents. Stage The stage opposite the statue is for occasional performances and character meet and greets. The 360 degree lighting is different for a Disney cruise ship, and it changes to each hero and villain arriving in the Grand Hall. One such transformation takes place with the arrival of Loki. The God of Mischief will occasionally recruit unsuspecting guests for a surprise competition to prove their adoration for his royal highness, or command them to explain the strange foreign rituals of ocean cruising. Other mischievous happenings begin when you encounter Dr. Facilier, who is often lurking around the Disney Destiny Grand Hall with a dazzling parlor trick or sleight of hand. You can join him for a game of chance with nothing to lose. The Disney Destiny sets off on its maiden voyage on November 20, and see the cross-section artwork layout of the newest Disney Cruise Line ship.
