Photos: Cancer Awareness Golf Tournament The third Ladies Cancer Awareness Golf Tournament took place on Saturday [Oct 18] at the Ocean View Golf Course, raising over $14,000 to support cancer care and cancer patients. A spokesperson said, “Among breezy and challenging weather conditions, participants braved the elements to play in the 3rd Ladies Cancer Awareness Golf Tournament on Saturday October 18th at the Ocean View Golf Course. 1st Place was won by the team of Ebonie Cox, George O’Brien, Jonathan James and Donovan Livingston 2nd Place – OJ Pitcher, Aaron James, David Patterson Vincent Minors 3rd Place – Hav Trott, Rob Eastham, Caroline Jones, Steven Duxbury 4th Place – Duane Lowe, Riccal Walls, Garreth Lowe, Tyler Amory “Closest to the Pins were won by the following: #7 Mark Phillips #9 Steven Duxbury #11 Rob Eastham #18 Jasmine Brown “This was the 3rd tournament held and proceeds from this year’s Oceanview Ladies Golf Tournament will directly support cancer patients in our community through two vital funds at Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre: Equal Access Fund – Provides everyone in Bermuda access to essential cancer screening and treatment services, including mammograms, ultrasounds, bone density scans, breast biopsies, and radiation therapy, all with $0 co-pay, regardless of insurance coverage or ability to pay. Radiation Therapy Patient Fund – Offers practical help for patients undergoing treatment, including transport to and from the Centre, prescription costs, and wound care supplies. “Together, these funds ensure that no one faces cancer care alone, removing barriers so patients can focus on healing and recovery.
