The Philadelphia 76ers and Chicago Bulls locked horns in a marquee matchup between the top two Eastern Conference teams at the United Center on Tuesday. The Sixers and Bulls arrived with an identical 5-1 record after six games, occupying the first and second place in the conference standings, respectively.Philadelphia's starting lineup was led by Joel Embiid, with Tyrese Maxey, V.J. Edgecombe, Jabari Walker and Kelly Oubre Jr. rounding off the starting five. On the contrary, the Bulls' starting lineup featured Josh Giddey, Tre Jones, Nikola Vucevic, Matas Buzelis and Isaac Okoro.The Sixers exploded in the first quarter and dropped 45 points in the period in a hostile environment on the road. The duo shared the offensive load and combined for 40 first-half points to give the Sixers a 75-56 lead heading into the break. The Bulls' offense and defense both picked up steam in the second period, but the hosts lost the quarter 30-29.The Bulls found some rhythm after half time and cut a 24-point deficit in half. Giddey continued to be the focal point for Chicago, with Kevin Huerter, Matas Buzelis, Issac Okoro and Vucevic all cracking the double-digit mark in points.
