Peter Andre has opened up in the latest column about the return of I'm A Celebrity, two decades after his own appearance on the ITV show. The singer appeared on the jungle show 20 years ago, where he met his ex-wife Katie Price . As a new set of celebrities are getting ready to appear on the hit show, Peter has been sharing his advice on what to expect - and what cheeky duo he'd love to see take on the jungle show one day. Elsewhere, Peter chats about the shock news that Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman are quitting Strictly Come Dancing and also shares his thoughts on the heartbreaking devastation left in the wake of Hurricane Melissa. Peter also gives an update on his mum Thea, 88, who is on the other side of the world in Australia following her dementia diagnosis. Here's what Peter had to say this week... I’m sure it was a surprise for everyone that Tess and Claudia were leaving Strictly, it certainly shocked me! When you think of Strictly, you think of those two. It’s a bit like I’m A Celebrity without Ant and Dec. It’s just synonymous with them. When they’re not there, it’s just very odd. But for whatever reasons they’re doing it, it’s up to them. But I’m sure they’ll be very missed. It’s so sad about the devastation hurricane Melissa caused in Jamaica. My friends who are currently out there and some of my friends that live there have been telling me about the devastation it’s caused. You can never be fully prepared when something catastrophic like this happens. Hopefully, a lot of people are safe and have found a way to deal with this devastation. It’s heartbreaking for everyone involved. So, Paris is busy helping her daughter with her wedding! It’s interesting because everyone has an opinion about things but you have to understand that every culture, every nationality is different. When you’re brought up in a certain way and that’s how it’s done, then that’s how it’s done. I’m sure everybody is looking forward for them being married and having a wonderful life. Look at Paris and Tyson and what a wonderful life they have, how many children they’ve got and what a success story they’ve become. I think it’s going to be a wonderful wedding. I’m A Celebrity - one of my favourite shows, is back soon! I appeared on it 20 years ago, it’s crazy to think that. And it’s still going so strong, after so many years. Ant and Dec are still at the helm and that’s fantastic. There’s very few of us in the world that understand the sights, smells, sounds and the hunger - everything that comes with it. There’s very few of us in the I’m A Celebrity club. I’ll definitely be tuning in! Lesley Joseph recently gave a sad update on Pauline Quirke and her dementia battle. It’s very close to home when I hear these stories. No matter how old we are, we’re never too old not to hurt when our parents are going through what they’re going through. It kills me for my mum every day when I think about her and when I speak to her and see her, It’s a really cruel battle. It’s very nice when people give an update because it helps other families going through similar situations.
