    Penneys' wax jacket is just like a designer one but €200 cheaper

    Penney’s fans will want to run to stores to get their hands on a gorgeous coat that looks just like the famous Barbour jacket that has just dropped.

    Country-chic style is officially in season, and for people who love the look of a real Barbour coat but not the hefty price tag, there’s an amazing alternative that’s a whole lot cheaper.

    The Plaid Cuff Barn Jacket from Penneys gives off ‘old money’ vibes, and is very similar to a wax Barbour jacket, like the Beadnell Waxed Jacket – but for €200 cheaper.

    One Penneys fan was shopping and was ‘shocked’ to come across the ‘really good Barbour dupe’ in store, and shared a video of her wearing it at a photoshoot.

    She said it ‘confused’ a number of her followers who thought it was the real deal, saying: ‘It looks so much like Barbour coat… the material is obviously not remotely similar but I do have a waterproof spray that I can put on this in order to make it waterproof…

    ‘It’s really, really cool. I can’t believe that Primark would even come up with stuff like this.’

    People replied to the comments, saying how much they wanted the jacket, saying it was the ‘best news ever’ that it was from Penneys.

    The Penneys’ Plaid Cuff Barn Jacket comes in a rich, dark brown shade with a contrasting corduroy collar and comes with a matte-finish fabric.

    It is cut in a straight, relaxed fit, coming in sizes XS to XL, and also features other Barbour-like features, with gold pop buttons and two large flap pockets at the front that offer handy storage.

    However, one of the most signature Barbour-esque features is the plaid lining inside the jacket, which peeks out on the turn-up cuffs and on the split-size zips, which open to reveal the plaid material inside.

    It’s not only stylish, it’s also practical for those countryside walks and would be the perfect layering option for the crisp, cool autumn weather.

    While it is just like the Beadnell Waxed Jacket from Barbour, which retails for €240, this one from Penney’s won’t break the bank as it’s only €42!
