Gardaí are investigating the fatal road traffic incident that occurred at approximately 3.30pm yesterday. The collision occurred between junction 8 and junction 7 eastbound on the N7. The road remains closed to allow specialist gardaí attend the scene and carry out a forensic examination of the road. Advertisement In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said the male pedestrian was seriously injured and taken to Tallaght University Hospital. The man later passed away yesterday evening. A post mortem will take place in due course. The male driver of the bus – aged in his 30s – of the bus was uninjured and two passengers received non-life threatening injuries. Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Gardaí are also appealing for any witnesses and for any road users who may have camera footage – including dash-cam – who were travelling in the area at the time of the collision to make this footage available to Gardaí.
