It's as easy as one-two-three. Right? Not when it comes to winning championships. The Los Angeles Dodgers are now two-thirds of the way there after defeating the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 7 of the World Series on Saturday to repeat as MLB champions. Next season, they'll look to join an exclusive club of Major League Baseball teams to complete the rare three-peat. How many MLB teams have won three straight World Series? There have been four three-peats in MLB -- and three of them were by the same organization. The New York Yankees had three-peats from 1936 to 1939, 1949 to 1953 and 1998 to 2000. The only other team in the league to win three consecutive titles was the Oakland Athletics from 1972 to 1974. How many teams have won back-to-back World Series?
