The Pasadena Tournament of Roses announced the 28 finalists of the 2026 Rose Court on Monday.
The Tournament of Roses makes its selections based on several aspects, including academic achievement, community and school involvement, public speaking ability and youth leadership. According to the organization, candidates from 41 Pasadena-area schools applied for a chance on the court.
The finalists will undergo another round of selection before the Tournament of Roses chooses the seven young women to receive a $7,500 academic scholarship. Next week, the Tournament of Roses staff will announce the 2026 Rose Court members on Sept. 29.
The court will serve as ambassadors for the Rose Parade and will appear on a float before attending the Rose Bowl Game on Jan. 1, 2026.
