Parvathy Thiruvothu is known for her powerful performances in films like Bangalore Days, Ennu Ninte Moideen and Take Off, which earned her the prestigious National Award in 2017. The critically acclaimed actor is all set to team up for the first time with director Don Palathara in her next. Palathara had made films like 1956, Central Travancore, Joyful Mystery and Family. Filmmaker and actor Dileesh Pothan, too, will be seen alongside Parvathy in the film. The collaboration between Parvathy, Don Palathara and Dileesh is set to unite three of the finest and most visionary talents in Malayalam cinema. The details of the plot of the film have not been revealed yet but the film is expected to be an emotional story that will be shot in Kerala. Sharing details about the collaboration, Parvathy revealed that to work with Don Palathara is actually “liberating.” She said, “Don Palathara’s movies hold up a mirror to how we live and love, often without judgment or noise. To step into that kind of world as an actor is very liberating.” Thiruvothu added that Palathara’s films have an extremely “powerful meditative” quality. “He invites us to actively engage in reflecting on how we live. As an actor, I find that kind of space exhilarating because it demands that you unlearn performances and simply be. This is also extremely challenging,” added the actress. The actress who made her Bollywood debut with late actor Irrfan Khan in Qarib Qarib Singlle also stated that working with Palathara has been on her wishlist for quite a while and she is thrilled to be part of the project.
