When it comes to browsing what’s trending on Paramount Plus, its top 10 list is a mix of everything, from nostalgic favorites I grew up watching (yes, “SpongeBob SquarePants” is still great fun) to the kind of prime morning TV that’s perfect for background viewing. It’s not the biggest streaming service out there, but it’s got a surprisingly varied library that’s easy to overlook.
Still, hidden among the familiar titles and comfort rewatches are a few genuinely great shows worth your time, and ones that prove Paramount Plus can hold its own against the streaming heavyweights. I’ve gone through the current top 10 lineup and picked out the three series worth binge-watching this week.
This list is based on the Paramount Plus top 10 U.S shows as of Thursday, October 16, 2025.
Best shows in the Paramount Plus top 10
‘South Park’
“South Park” has been pushing boundaries and offending sensibilities since it first hit screens in 1997, and it’s still going strong. Created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the crude, foul-mouthed animated series has become a pop culture institution, even spawning movies and games. Love it or hate it, “South Park” remains one of the boldest and most distinctive voices in television comedy.
Set in the quiet, snow-covered town of South Park, Colorado, the show follows four elementary school boys — Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny — whose everyday adventures quickly spiral into absurd, satirical chaos. Each episode tackles current events and cultural trends with sharp (and often shocking) humor, mixing slapstick with biting social commentary. Beneath the vulgarity and chaos, “South Park” often hides surprisingly smart takes on modern life.

‘Tulsa King’
“Tulsa King” feels like a throwback show in the best possible way — part crime drama, part character study, and all Sylvester Stallone charm. Marking Stallone’s first major television role, the series quickly found its audience when it debuted in 2022, mainly down to its gritty humor and classic gangster flair. It’s a fun reminder that even after decades in Hollywood, Stallone can still command the screen, this time trading boxing gloves for brass knuckles and a cowboy hat.
The show follows Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Stallone), a New York mafia capo who’s released from prison after 25 years, only to be exiled by his boss to (of all places) Tulsa, Oklahoma. Struggling to adapt to a world that’s moved on without him, Dwight begins building his own criminal empire from scratch, recruiting an unlikely crew of locals and clashing with rival gangs along the way.

‘Dexter’
“Dexter” is one of those shows that truly defined peak TV in the late 2000s. Premiering in 2006, this crime drama quickly became a hit thanks to its dark premise and Michael C. Hall’s strong performance. While its later seasons proved divisive, there’s no denying the show’s impact on the genre or its lasting legacy as one of TV’s most compelling antihero stories.
Set in sunny Miami, the series follows Dexter Morgan (Hall), a mild-mannered forensic blood-spatter analyst for the police department who leads a chilling double life as a meticulous serial killer. Guided by a strict moral code taught to him by his adoptive father, Dexter only targets other murderers who have escaped justice. As he balances his day job, family life, and secret identity, Dexter’s world grows increasingly complicated.
