A viral video that emerged online is proof of this cross-cultural love for langar. Shot in what appears to be a busy UK street, the video shows an ambulance stuck in traffic with two servicemen inside. But instead of rushing through, the duo seems to be patiently waiting for the road to clear, but what caught viewers’ attention was an unexpected feast.

Langar On Dashboard
The person recording the video gives viewers a peek inside the ambulance, where several plates of delicious-looking langar are placed on the dashboard. In the background, we can hear a hilarious commentary from the man behind the camera, who says in Punjabi, “sirf Punjabi hi nahi langar katthe karde aa, gore vi ghre leke chle! (It’s not just Punjabis, even the foreigners are taking home plates of langar!)”

Well, it is not the first time that foreigners have been seen enjoying and embracing Indian culture with full enthusiasm. There have been numerous occasions when they were captured tasting the food, exploring local traditions, or dancing to Bollywood songs and the moments often go viral. Having said that, another video that had earlier emerged online saw a woman from a foreign land completely immersed in Punjabi music.

Her performance and energy, as seen in the clip shared on Instagram, captured the attention of social media users. Dressed in traditional Punjabi attire, the woman performing on stage also had some Punjabi men dancing around her as she lip-synced to a Punjabi song.
Not just that, she also added small Punjabi dance steps to make the performance lively and fun and the video won hearts.
