BLYTHEWOOD — A Virginia-based paper company is moving to the area following a surge of growth due to Scout Motors and other industrial businesses locating here.
Mangus Development Group has announced that Manchester Industries will lease 98,280 square feet at Access 77 for a new converting operation, according to a press statement.
Access 77 is located in Northpoint Industrial Park, just 1.5 miles away from Interstate 77 in Blythewood. Major industrial companies such as Scout Motors, JTEKT, PurePower, Constantia Flexibles and more are also housed in that area.
Manchester Industries works in the paperboard converting sector, specializing in custom-sheeted paperboard products. Operations at Access 77 are expected to start at the end of 2025.
“Our new Columbia facility strengths Manchester Industries’ ability to serve customers with greater speed and efficiency,” Chase Bryan, finance manager at Manchester Industries, said in a press release.
Mangus Development Group is a privately held South Carolina-based real estate developer. They are focused on single-tenant-build-to-suits, speculative industrial buildings, acquisitions and advisory services throughout the U.S.
Access 77 is part of Mangus Development Partners growing industrial real estate portfolio.
“With its new Columbia facility, Manchester Industries is tapping into central South Carolina’s logistical advantages, offering accelerated time-to-market agility,” Chuck Salley, managing director of Industrial services at Colliers, said.
