Papaye awards 148 workers as Samuel Alhassan receives overall best worker

Ghana’s premier fast foods company Papaye has awarded 148 of its workers for their dedication and commitment to duty raging between 5 to 30 years of their respective services at its biennially workers awards dinner at Papaye recreational village, Konkomuru, Aburi in the Eastern Region. The ceremony was aimed at recognizing the immense contributions of workers of both companies in celebrating excellence of their work force for service delivery. Awards include certificates, undisclosed cash prize, flat revision sets, and deep freezers with Alhassan receiving the overall best worker. The long service awards comprises of 80 employees serving for 5 years, 41 for 10 years 1 for 15 years, 12 for 20 years, 4 for 25 years and 2 for 30 years while 4 extraordinary workers were also honoured for 10 years, 1 for 20 years and 3 for 25 years of service from the Papaye recreational village. In attendance was the Deputy Chief Officer of Ghana Tourism Authority, Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey (aka Abeiku Santana), Executive Secretary of Ghana Labour Commission, Dr. Bernice Anowa Welbeck, Aburihene Otoobour Djan Kwasi II. Speaking at the event, the Managing Director, of Papaye Fast Company Limited, Mr. Emmanuel Worlanyo Tefe said it is the company’s commitment to deliver exceptional services and have maintained high quality standards as workers have also played pivotal role in lifting the company’s brand. “The company celebrates your unwavering dedication, hard work and loyalty since you form the backbone of Papaye Group,” he said adding their contribution have influenced the lives of countless customers. For his part, the Group Chief Officer of Papaye, Mr. Divine Kwadwo Asiedu urged government to create a conducive environment for businesses to strive particular the fast-food industry. He said the hospitality sector have contributed to the growth and development of the country through job creation, tourism and revenue generation to government, adding that the company will continue to serve its customers with excellence. Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Ghana Tourism Authority, Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey said government will continue to invest in the hospitality industry as part of the drive to create jobs and also urged the workers to exhibit good customer satisfaction to protect the image of the company.
