Ramallah, November 09 (QNA) - The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the resumption of the child vaccination campaign in the Gaza Strip, starting Sunday. This aims to strengthen the national immunization program for children under three years old, and ensure they receive the necessary doses according to the approved national schedule. Palestinian Minister of Health, Majed Abu Ramadan, stated that despite the difficult humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, the Ministry continues to fulfill its duty to protect Palestinian children and safeguard their health and well-being. He called on the public to fully cooperate with the health teams to ensure the campaign's success and the achievement of its objectives. In a statement, Abu Ramadan said that the campaign is being implemented under the supervision and monitoring of the Ministry of Health, in partnership with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and the Palestine Red Crescent Society, and with support from the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the World Health Organization (WHO). The campaign is being conducted through 150 health centers affiliated with the Ministry of Health, UNRWA, and the Red Crescent, in addition to local and international organizations operating across the Gaza Strip. He added that the campaign will last for ten days, in three phases, spaced one month apart, to ensure access to all children who missed receiving basic vaccinations during the past period. (QNA)
