Gaza, November 08 (QNA) - A Palestinian was martyred on Saturday after being shot by Israeli occupation forces east of Al-Bureij Camp in central Gaza.A medical source at Al Awda Hospital reported that Israeli occupation forces opened fire on a group of Palestinians east of the camp, killing one immediately. The medical teams transferred the victim to the hospital.Meanwhile, Israeli occupation artillery continued shelling areas east of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, while demolition operations persisted across several areas of the Strip.Israeli warplanes carried out three airstrikes east of Khan Yunis city, while drones flew at low altitudes over the city. Israeli naval vessels also opened fire in the waters off Rafah.The overall toll of the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has reached 69,169 martyrs and 170,685 injured, according to the latest figures from the Palestinian Ministry of Health.A ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Israeli entity came into effect on October 11, following the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from populated areas in the Strip and the start of the return of displaced residents to northern Gaza, as part of the first phase of US President Donald Trump's initiative to end the war on Gaza.
