Saima Saleem, Pakistan’s UN envoy, accused India of sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan and Kashmir. She called out India’s “hypocrisy” and said it cannot hide its covert terrorist networks in the region. Saleem responded to India’s claim that Pakistan suppor ts terrorist groups like The Resistance Front. She said India funds groups such as the TTP and BLA, causing thousands of civilian deaths in Pakistan. She urged India to allow independent investigations into the Pahalgam attack, which India blamed on Pakistan-backed militants. She mentioned incidents like the Gujarat massacre and other communal attacks under India’s ruling party. Saleem called India’s internal policies “institutionalized Islamophobia” and said hatred is promoted at the highest levels. Saleem also accused India of aggression abroad and blocking regional cooperation. She said India uses water as a weapon by violating the Indus Waters Treaty. Furthermore, she condemned India’s military presence and human rights abuses in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
