Police discovered £115,000 worth of Class B drugs during a raid in Paisley. Officers carried out the operation at a premises on the town’s Montgomery Road last Thursday with a “significant quantity” of the illicit substance removed. A 50-year-old male was arrested and charged in connection with the discovery and he appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court the following day. A report is to be submitted to the procurator fiscal. Chief inspector Iain Farmer, of the Renfrewshire and Inverclyde division, said: “The detection of illicit drugs continues to be a priority for our local teams. “This substantial seizure provides confidence in the community of our dedication within the local areas. “Drug misuse brings blight within our communities, and we work alongside partner agencies to create a safer environment for our community to live, work and visit. “My ask to the community is to report any suspicious activity within their area.” Don't miss the latest Renfrewshire headlines – you can sign up to our free daily newsletter here
