When the Eagles play the Packers on Monday Night Football, ESPN’s broadcast will feature a pair of celebrity Birds fans and Pennsylvania natives. Famous comedian Shane Gillis and “Abbot Elementary” star Quinta Brunson will join Peyton and Eli Manning on Monday’s “ManningCast” on ESPN2, according to The Athletic. Gillis, a Mechanicsburg native, and Brunson, a Philadelphia native, are two of the most famous Eagles fans in the entertainment industry. Brunson, who attended Temple, is an Emmy-winning actress, writer and creator on ABC’s “Abbott Elementary,” which has featured cameos from Jalen Hurts, Jason Kelce and other Eagles in the past. Gillis, a West Chester grad, is a stand-up comic and former “Saturday Night Live” writer has hosted SNL twice. He also has his own show, “Tires,” on Netflix. Gillis hosted the “ESPYs” over the summer and took every chance he had to let out a, “Go Birds.” Gillis was most recently at the Eagles’ 38-20 win over the Giants on Oct. 26, when he crashed an NBC postgame interview with tight end Dallas Goedert. The Eagles’ Monday night matchup with the Packers pits two of the best teams in the NFC. The Eagles (6-2) and Packers (5-2-1) will square off at 8:15 p.m. The main broadcast with Joe Buck (play-by-play) and Troy Aikman (color commentary) will air on ESPN.
