P.B. Ahmed Mudassar is new president of KCCI

Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Mangaluru, has elected P.B. Ahmed Mudassar as its new president for 2025-26.

The new president and office-bearers were elected at the 85th annual general meeting of the chamber on Saturday.

Divakar Pai Kochikar was elected as vice-president, Abdur Rahman Musba as honorary treasurer, and Ashwin Pai Maroor and Jeethan Allen Sequeira as honorary secretaries.

Mr. Mudassar is a partner at M/s P.B. Abdul Hameed & Sons, an entity engaged in the trading of spices and hill produce.

He holds a BE in Biotechnology from NMAMIT, Nitte, and went on to pursue his MBA in Marketing and Finance from Alliance Business Academy, Bengaluru. He has also completed the e-Management Development Certification Programme in investment banking from IIM Kozhikode.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mudassar said that the chamber actively collaborates with the administration, like-minded organisations, and affiliated bodies that address issues within their respective domains. This spirit of collaboration, he stressed, is crucial for achieving comprehensive and cohesive development of the region.

As the city stands poised for growth in IT, tourism, healthcare, and education, he noted that sustainable development must remain a priority, a KCCI release said.
