Kelly Osbourne’s toddler is already following in the legendary footsteps of his grandfather, Ozzy Osbourne. In a viral TikTok, 2-year-old Sidney Wilson Jr. recreates the rock star’s shocking 1982 bat-biting moment. The 39-year-old star shared the hilarious video on Thursday, October 30, showing her son reenacting the time the Black Sabbath frontman bit the head off a bat during a live concert. In the clip, Sidney chomps the head off a stuffed toy bat, with the caption. “Learned from the greatest, Papa!” The toy’s head, attached with Velcro, easily came apart as the toddler tore into it. Dressed in a skeleton costume and red cowboy boots, Sidney looked ready for Halloween. For those unfamiliar, the real bat incident took place in 1982 during Ozzy’s Diary of a Madman tour stop in Des Moines, Iowa. A fan tossed what the singer believed to be a fake rubber bat onto the stage. When Ozzy picked it up and bit into it, he quickly realized it was actually a real, dead bat. The stunt. which went on to define part of his wild stage persona, ended with the musician being taken to the hospital for rabies shots. “For a start, my mouth was instantly full of this warm, gloopy liquid, with the worst aftertaste you could ever imagine,” he wrote in his 2009 memoir I Am Ozzy. “I could feel it staining my teeth and running down my chin.” While shocking at the time, the incident has since become one of rock’s most talked-about legends, and clearly, that legacy lives on through his grandson. Fans quickly took to the comments, celebrating the adorable tribute to the heavy metal legend. “Imagine your dad is Sid Wilson from slipknot and your grandfather is ozzy. He’s so cute,” one person commented on the post. Other fans added, “Those osbourne genes are STRONG” and “I know he saw that and is laughing from heaven.” The Prince of Darkness passed away on July 22 after years of health struggles. His family released a statement at the time confirming his death. “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.” In 2020, Ozzy revealed his stage 2 Parkinson’s disease diagnosis, and he also endured pain from a serious neck injury sustained in a fall. Despite stepping back from performing, he joined his Black Sabbath bandmates one final time in July 2025 for a farewell concert in his hometown of Birmingham, England.
