Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd. (MRPL) undertook a large-scale plantation and sapling distribution drive around Mangaluru and distributed over 5,000 tree saplings recently. The initiative was launched in alignment with the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam-2.0“ initiative by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) that encourages every citizen to plant a tree in honour of their mother, aiming to strengthen India’s green cover and reinforce the spirit of environmental stewardship. Tree sapling distribution was done in collaboration with educational institutions, government offices, public organisations, and local communities. The campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from employees, students, and community members, reaffirming MRPL’s commitment to biodiversity conservation and environmental sustainability.
