Outraged pastor slams worker at quaint coffee shop for wearing 'sinful' leggings and sports bra in front of kids

A Christian pastor was left outraged after he said a woman wearing 'sinful' leggings and a sports bra waited on his family at a sandwich shop in Arizona. Dale Partridge, the lead pastor at King's Way Reformed Church in Prescott, took to X on Wednesday sharing his absolute disgust with the unknown server who he said donned 'crack-sucking leggings' in front of him, his wife and their children. 'Today, my family went on a family trip to Flagstaff. We walked into a quaint sandwich shop, and a young woman approached to take our order,' he wrote. 'She was wearing a sports bra and crack-sucking leggings. It was the kind of outfit our grandmothers would see as lingerie.' Because he was with his family, Partridge, 40, said he chose not to confront her about her clothing choice, but if he had, he would've asked her: 'Ma'am, do you not know how inappropriate your outfit is? Are you not ashamed to be wearing that in public?' Still enraged over the woman's appearance when he got home, Partridge decided to inform the owner of the unknown shop about what he said he witnessed. 'This won’t change until we make it change. Make sin shameful again. Remember, shame pushes people to see their need for forgiveness—in Christ,' he added. In a follow-up post, Partridge said his wife recalled the young woman 'wearing a cross necklace' as well. The following day, the pastor continued on with his rant over the woman's choice to wear a sports bra. 'Ladies, just because it has the word "sports" in front of it doesn't change what it is. It's still a bra, and should be worn under your clothes,' Partridge added. On Monday he went on to create a poll asking: 'Fathers, would you let your teen daughters wear leggings as pants in public? For the record I would not.' While Partridge was up in arms about what the woman wore, several online users were outraged over his commentary. 'Dude, f*** you. You don’t get to tell women they are “inappropriate” because you carry some weird fucking shame about human bodies,' one wrote. Another suggested his rant was allegedly rooted in attraction toward the waitress. 'Translation - I got turned on and it made me angry my wife was there so I couldn’t flirt with her,' they said. 'A sandwich girl in a sports bra made you lustful and you decided she’s the problem and you’re a victim. Incredible,' someone else chimed in. Another user asked: 'Why didn’t you just leave and go to a different sandwich shop?' 'How come you spend so much time talking about other women's underwear?', a person asked Partridge, who then replied: 'Because it's a massive societal sin at the moment.' Although many people disagreed with the pastor's stance, some of them were onboard. 'Yoga “pants” are not actual pants. Please cover your genitals,' one posted. 'Not a father here, but a young man. Fathers, teach your daughters how to dress like women. Sincerely, the young Christian men of America,' another stated. Someone else added: 'A man is responsible for all the things of his house, to include the actions of his wife and children. Absolutely not.' This is not the first time Partridge has spoken up about how he's bothered by what women wear as he admitted in 2015 that it was 'hard' not to look at other women when they wore yoga pants. Because of that, his wife, Veronica Partridge, now 36, decided that she would never wear leggings in public again over a fear of 'enticing' men. '[Wearing leggings] creates a stronger attraction for a man to look at a woman’s body and may cause them to think lustful thoughts,' writes Veronica Partridge, a 25-year-old Christian mother-of-one based in Bend, Oregon, on her namesake blog. According to Mrs. Partridge, it's a conviction that had been 'weighing heavy' on her heart for months. 'I tried ignoring it for as long as I could,' she writes before describing that God 'changed her heart.' She later asked her husband whether it was possible that leggings could cause a man other than him to 'think lustfully' about her body. 'I appreciated his honesty when he told me, “Yeah, when I walk into a place and there are women wearing yoga pants everywhere, it’s hard to not look. I don’t, but it’s not easy”.' Mrs. Partridge surmised that if Dale, who 'loves, honors and respects' her, finds it difficult to 'keep his eyes focused ahead' then perhaps it is even harder for a man with less 'self-control.' She concluded: 'The only time I feel (for myself) it is acceptable to wear them, is if I am in the comfort of my own home or if I am wearing a shirt long enough to cover my rear end.' The couple married in 2010 and share four children together. Partridge is not only a pastor, but a motivational speaker and the president of Relearn.org - an online platform that offers Theological audiobooks for families. The Daily Mail contacted Partridge for comment.
