Out-Of-Favour Italy Star Wants To Play Against Former Club In Inter Milan Vs Sassuolo Serie A Clash
Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi is hopeful of making his first Serie A appearance of the season in Sunday’s clash with his former club Sassuolo.
Frattesi played his first minutes of the season off the bench in the midweek 2-0 win over Ajax.
However, the Italian is yet to touch the field in Serie A.
This follows “an injury that ruined his summer”, the Gazzetta dello Sport write, with quotes via FCInterNews.
Frattesi Hopes For Inter Milan Return Against Old Club Sassuolo
Frattesi joined Inter on loan with an obligation-to-buy in 2023.
Since his arrival at the Nerazzurri, the midfielder has played 90 times for the club in all competitions.
The central midfielder was Inter’s hero in last season’s Champions League semi-final against Barcelona.
Frattesi scored the decisive goal in the 4-3 second leg win against the Catalan giants, sending his side through to the final.
The Italian was forced to miss the Club World Cup due to a sports hernia, which required surgery in July.
