Oura Health Oy , the Finnish smart ring maker, announced a pricier ceramic version of its latest model, adopting a material associated with jewelry in a bid to please a majority-female customer base.
The device, called the Oura Ring 4 Ceramic, is more sweat- and scratch-resistant than the existing Oura Ring 4, the company said Wednesday. It’s available now in four colors: light green, off white, pink and dark blue. At $499, it’s significantly more expensive than the base version of the Oura Ring 4, which costs $349 and is made of titanium. But, the price is on par with more premium “gold” and “rose gold” finishes for the earlier model.
