Focusing mainly on employability, the framework aims to deliver a transformative educational experience that prepares students not just for graduation, but for life.
From day one, students benefit from extended induction, structured learning pathways, and embedded professional development.
Industry-informed modules, placement opportunities, and hands-on project experience ensure graduates are equipped with the skills employers value most – including digital fluency, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
The university will also offer Professional Development Work Placements at Level 5 and Level 7. These short-term, structured experiences are designed to provide students with meaningful exposure to professional environments, bridging the gap between academic learning and the world of work.
The placements are a core element of the university’s professional development offer, supporting students to build confidence, apply their learning in real-world contexts, and develop the attributes needed for successful careers.
Professor Gill Knight, Pro-Vice Chancellor, University of Wolverhampton said: “Our students deserve a well-rounded education that empowers them to thrive in a rapidly changing world. This new Curriculum Framework is a bold step forward – it places career readiness, wellbeing, and personalised support at the centre of the student experience.
“By working closely with employers and professional bodies, we are ensuring our graduates are academically accomplished, confident, capable, and future-ready.”
By September 2026 the university hope to have approximately two-thirds of the taught courses operating within to the new framework, meaning new students joining those programmes will benefit from the enhanced curriculum from day one.
By September 2027, the remaining courses will transition, ensuring all new students across the University are studying programmes aligned with the framework.
