Orangeburg Co. deputies search for 2 women accused of shoplifting from a store

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two women who are accused of shoplifting from a department store Monday afternoon.
Deputies responded to a report of shoplifters at a Walmart Supercenter on North Road around 12:30 p.m.
Sheriff spokesman Richard Walker said the business’s loss and prevention department noticed two women putting items in a bag and when confronted about it, one woman was found to be concealing $77 worth of items in the bag she was carrying. The other woman, who was pushing a shopping cart with a toddler in the seat, is believed to have been putting the items in the bag.
One woman was confronted and the items found in the bag before both fled from the store.
“This is what makes the price you and I pay go up,” Sherff Leroy Ravenell said. “If you have a name, call us.”
If anyone has any additional information on either of the suspects, they are asked to call the Orangeburg County Communications Center at 803-534-3550.
