Oprah Winfrey is on a roll with her latest string of Oprah’s Book Club selections. While she said it was “bittersweet” to move on from the moving story, Winfrey, 71, admitted she knocked last month’s selection out of the park by choosing Majumdar’s novel. “I have to say, this was one of the best book selections I’ve ever made,” Winfrey declared in the Instagram clip. “I love them all, differently. But this one was really special,” she continued. “I still think about this ending and I thank all of you who joined in reading with us and I hope it got you thinking about a lot of different things.” Oprah Unveils the November Oprah’s Book Club Selection Moving on to her next selection, Winfrey took to Instagram on Tuesday, Nov. 11 to announce the title of the November Oprah’s Book Club pick: Some Bright Nowhere by Anna Packer. “This novel’s gonna get you thinking about some things that matter,” Winfrey teased. Going on to give her followers more information about the book, Winfrey explained, “This novel centers around this long-married couple Eliot and Claire. They’ve had a long — marriage, and then…illness shows up and redefines their situation.” “Very interesting,” she added. “I know a lot of you have been through that. I had some specific thoughts and attitudes about it, but will not share my feelings about the characters until you’ve all had a chance to read it.” “Their story is going to leave you questioning, I think, the obligations of marriage and the differences between male and female friendships.”
