ONGC Scholarship: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), has launched the Sports Scholarship Scheme 2025-26 for young athletes. Under this scheme, 250 athletes will receive scholarships ranging from Rs 15,000 to Rs 30,000 per month. The notification is available on the official website at at sportsscholarship.ongc.co.in.
Applications for the ONGC scholarship will started from September 22, 2025, and will continue until October 21, 2025, up to 4 pm. ONGC aims to support the country’s young athletes through this scheme. “The objective is to provide financial assistance to economically weaker young talented sportspersons who have the potential to excel in the sports & inspire younger generation for engaging in sports activities,” reads the official notice.
This scheme covers 21 different sports including athletics, cricket, football, hockey, badminton, chess, kabaddi, squash, table tennis, volleyball, swimming, archery, among others.
ONGC Scholarship: Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must be between 15 and 20 years of age as of October 21, 2025.
Their family’s annual income must not exceed Rs 5 lakh. Additionally, they must have participated in any sport at the state, national, or international level. “Income certificate of Parents issued by statutory authority from 01.04.2025 till the last date of submission of application will be valid and mandatory to submit,” the notice added.
ONGC Scholarship: How To Apply?
Interested and eligible candidates must apply online by visiting the official website at sportsscholarship.ongc.co.in. They will need to provide certificates of your sports achievements, proof of age (like a birth certificate), and proof of family income (like an income certificate). All documents should be correct and original. Providing false information or fake certificates may lead to the cancellation of the application, and ONGC may also take legal action against the student.
Applications will only be accepted online. Submissions sent by post or any other means will not be accepted. Carefully read all the conditions provided on the website to avoid any mistakes. Scholarships will be awarded to selected players based on their sports performance.
