The OnePlus 15 launch is getting closer and yes, the company is very likely to skip the 14 number for various reasons this year. OnePlus 15 is heavily tipped to feature a major redesign and some of the rumours have been addressed in a recent teaser where the OnePlus 15 rear panel is on full display.
The design change has been revealed with latest OnePlus 15 leaks which shows the brand going for a square camera module. Even the whole frame looks to be flatter and more like the OnePlus 9 or 10 series rather than OnePlus 12 or even 13 models.
OnePlus 15 Design Teaser: What It Shows
The cheeky OnePlus 15 teaser was on the sidelines of the e-sports event in China where a group of gamers decided to take a selfie, with what looks like the upcoming OnePlus device.
Could this be the new OnePlus 15 design launching soon?
The image here was posted on Chinese social media platform Weibo, and you can clearly see the new look camera island which seems to be a bigger version than the one on the 13s model. The main difference is in the size of the camera sensors which means the module covers a large chunk of the panel at the back.
OnePlus 15 Launching Soon: What We Expect?
The company is likely to adopt the silicon carbon tech once again which should allow them to offer a 7,000mAh or higher battery unit with the device. It is rumoured to be using more durable build quality which could make it stronger than the iPhone 17 Pro Max model.
But the biggest change with OnePlus 15, besides the design, could be the actual camera system. The brand has parted ways with Hasselblad and is working on its in-house camera engine that is likely to be part of the OnePlus 15 hardware list.
OnePlus has shown its evolution into a premium brand but its cameras have been an Achilles heel that needed a better solution. The OnePlus 15 could be part of that changing face for the brand and we could see it launch in China in the next few weeks. OnePlus is also expected to launch the model in India probably by early next year.
