Despite a decrease in trade volume and price volatility in Integrated Resources Management (IRM) and Commercial Mining segments of business, Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL) — the flagship company of the Adani Group — on Tuesday reported a 84 percent year-on-year increase in consolidated profit that stood at ₹3,198 crore at the end of second quarter of financial year 2025-26. The rise in profit attributed to the owners can be attributed to the one time gain of ₹3,583 crore. The Board of Directors of company on Tuesday also approved raising of ₹25,000 crore via rights issue. The company’s consolidated profit before exceptional item and tax fell 66 per cent to ₹814 crore during the quarter from ₹2,409 crore reported during the same period last fiscal. The company recorded an exceptional gain of ₹3,583 crore during the quarter in connection with the stake-sale of AWL Agri Business which was formerly known as Adani Wilmar. Poor show in some of the mainstay business segments including IRM, commercial mining and road dragged the revenue from operations of the company by 6 percent to ₹21,248 crore during the second quarter. While revenue from IRM business declined by 28.5 per cent, those from roads and commercial mining business also dipped by 18 per cent and 33 per cent respectively. The airports business of the company grew 43 per cent, followed by mining services and the new energy ecosystem which increased by 32 per cent and four percent, respectively. Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group stated in an official release, “The inauguration of the Navi Mumbai International Airport marks a defining moment in India’s infrastructure story and reinforces AEL’s role as a national growth catalyst. Our strong performance across airports, data centers and roads underscore the momentum of our core infrastructure portfolio. With partnerships such as the one with Google for India’s largest AI data center and rapid progress in our green energy ecosystem, AEL is accelerating India’s transition toward a sustainable, technology-driven future.’ While the IRM business was impacted due to low volume and prices, the airports business witnessed a growth due to tariff revisions and non-aero growth. During the quarter 28 sets of Wind Turbine Generators were supplied by Adani New Industries Ltd (ANIL), registering an y-o-y increase of 87 per cent. Published on November 4, 2025
