One Of TV’s Best Shows Has Kept Its Perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes Score

The Chair Company A new show usually hits streaming every day, at the very least, but as time goes on, review scores for different series fluctuate. But there is one show that has the highest popularity-to-review score ratio, and it has kept its flawless Rotten Tomatoes score through half its season now. The show is The Chair Company on HBO, the Tim Robinson surrealist comedy that debuted at a perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes critic score, and has kept that with 40 reviews in, now halfway through season 1. A season 1 that seems like it’s leading to a season 2, if that’s what Robinson wants to do. Like Nathan Fielder, HBO seems to have a soft spot for bizarre comedians and their high-concept projects. The Chair Company is on a different level, however. It’s not as if no one is watching, either. The Chair Company is the second most-watched show on HBO Max right now, behind only IT: Welcome to Derry, which HBO has said is its third-biggest premiere of all time, behind only House of the Dragon and The Last of Us. So that bodes well for Robinson and his show. The Chair Company As far as I can tell, there is not another show as high profile as The Chair Company that has a 100% score like this. At least not one currently airing. Dark Winds season 3 has hit Netflix, which has a 100%, but it’s further down the top 10 list and only has a little more than a third of the reviews in as The Chair Company (still, I absolutely recommend it). Nothing else is especially close. Two of the higher ones are Netflix’s Boots with a 90% score and the latest season of Slow Horses with a 92% (that’s actually kind of low for the series). HBO’s just-ended Task had a 96%. HBO Max is doing…quite well recently. MORE FOR YOU I will recommend you watch The Chair Company, but spoilers follow from here, meant for those already watching. This week the show took a turn and made us wonder if this was all “magical thinking” in Ron’s head, as his daughter believes this is similar to when he got obsessed with Jeep Tours, an absurd business idea. Now, he’s talking about how Tecca is smuggling drugs in the country, hiding in a tiny part of its chairs. Your mind may leap to ideas like his partner in investigation, the man who originally attacked him, isn’t real. I don’t think that’s where the show’s going. There are too many layers to this for all of it to be fake. The drug-smuggling idea may not be correct (that would be a little too convenient), but something is clearly going on with the company. Though obviously, to a certain extent, something is going on with Ron, too. on TwitterYouTube, Bluesky Instagram Herokiller series The Earthborn Trilogy. Editorial StandardsReprints & Permissions
