Beirut, October 26 (QNA) - One person was killed and another injured on Sunday in an Israeli airstrike on Baalbek district in eastern Lebanon. The Lebanese Ministry of Health stated in a press release that the strike on the town of Al-Hafir in Baalbek resulted in the death of one person and injuries to another, both of Syrian nationality. Earlier on Sunday, two more people were killed in separate Israeli airstrikes on towns in southern and eastern Lebanon. A ceasefire agreement in Lebanon came into effect on November 27 of last year, stipulating the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from the southern border villages within 60 days. The Lebanese government later approved an extension until February 18, yet the Israeli army remains stationed at five points and continues its violations. (QNA)
