Ondara’s Fira de Fires 2025: a guide for visitors

Ondara is set to come alive this November with its historic Fira de Fires, a tradition that dates back to 1690. This year, the festivities will take place over two weekends, November 8 –November 9 and November 15 –November 16, while the funfair will remain open until November 23, offering rides and attractions for all ages. Families and animal lovers should mark November 23 for the National Dog Show in the Plaza del Convento. The first weekend promises a lively mix of music, art, and local culture. In the Edificio del Prado, the VIII Feria Marina Alta will bring together eight towns from the region, showcasing traditional crafts, local delicacies, and tourist information. Visitors can explore a forum space with workshops and presentations, giving a glimpse into the creativity and heritage of the Marina Alta. On Saturday November 8, the Plaza de Toros will host the Concierto Feria de Ferias, featuring La Fúmiga, Ramonets, and Abril. This energetic mix of music, rhythm, and local flair is already sold out, with 2,500 attendees expected. The following day, November 9, artists will take to the streets for the III Rapid Painting Competition “Los Colores de Ondara”, capturing the town’s charm in a timed contest. Prizes include €500 for first place, a trip for two to the Balearic Islands, and awards for local and regional artists. Families visiting midweek will also enjoy reduced prices on rides at the funfair on November 12 and November 19, making it easy for everyone to join in the fun. The second weekend shifts focus to markets, shopping, and classic vehicles. The XXXVIII Feria de Muestras y Compras, held in the Prado, will feature more than 25 local and regional businesses, from artisanal food producers to beauty and craft vendors. Around the Prado and Plaza de Toros, the streets will transform for a Medieval Market, offering colourful stalls, crafts, and entertainment from the past, while the Animal Fair provides pens of livestock and carriage rides for children. Classic car enthusiasts can admire the Classic Vehicle Show on November 16, which for the first time will include Vespa scooters, parading through the town from midday. The fair concludes on November 23 with the funfair and the National Dog Show, a perfect day out for families and animal lovers. With its combination of live music, art, traditional crafts, markets, and family-friendly activities, Ondara’s Fira de Fires offers a vibrant celebration of local culture, making it an unmissable event for visitors to the Costa Blanca this November.
