"The Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) has launched the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week from October 27 to November 2, 2025, under the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”Advertisment The week-long initiative seeks to promote transparency, integrity, and accountability among employees while encouraging ethical conduct across all levels of operation within the organization. Through various awareness activities and outreach programmes, OMC aims to reinforce its commitment to good governance and a corruption-free work culture. At the corporation"s head office in Bhubaneswar, Managing Director Sudhansu Mohan Samal (IAS), administered the integrity pledge to employees on Monday. The ceremony was attended by Director (Operations) Sabyasachi Mohanty, Director (HR) Alok Kumar Pal, Director (Finance) Bana Bihari Pani, Chief Vigilance Officer D.K. Nanda, OAS (SAG), and other senior officials. Walkathon Promotes Ethical Practices To mark the occasion, the Regional Office in Barbil organised a Walkathon on Vigilance Awareness earlier on Monday. The activity was aimed at encouraging ethical practices and integrity among employees as well as fostering awareness within the wider community about the importance of transparent governance. Aligning With National Anti-Corruption Efforts OMC"s observance of Vigilance Awareness Week aligns with the Central Vigilance Commission"s nationwide campaign to combat corruption and strengthen public awareness about ethical governance.
