Angelo Walker ran for three touchdowns, Nico Kocmich returned a punt 47 yards for a score and Omaha Creighton Prep held Omaha Central to 48 yards in the first half of the Junior Jays’ 31-16 win Friday night at Burke Stadium.
Prep opened up in Wildcat formation for its first two scoring possessions, with Walker or Jake Kearney running after taking direct snaps. The first possession was 15 plays, the second three plays after Brogan Keating returned a fumble caused by Jake Brock to the Central 10.
Kocmich’s touchdown was for a 31-0 lead. Central’s Kylonn Haynie scored twice in the fourth quarter.
No. 4 Central, which beat then-No. 2 Omaha Westside last week, fell to 4-2. No. 3 Prep has its first 6-0 start since going undefeated in the 2008 regular season.
