As the winter holidays approach, it’s so easy to get caught up in the festive hues of the season with all the reds and greens. I fully lean into those colors, too. But I also try to make sure I’m not still dressing like a Christmas tree by the time January rolls around. So I’m really loving the color palette of the Old Navy x Anna Sui collection that’s available right now. Sui is known for hefty use of varying shades of purple, and she’s brought that to her ON collab, too, which I am full here for. There’s lots of flowy dresses, feminine tops and tiered skirts, many including Sui’s signature color. The sheer lace detail is delicately beautiful and there’s a lining underneath that looks like a camisole to keep things reasonably modest. Meanwhile the tie front and elasticized blouson sleeves add a little more interest to the whole look. Old Navy x Anna Sui Lace Applique Top, $44.99 at Old Navy The top comes in a range of sizes from XS through 4X, but it’s important to note that unlike a lot of other Old Navy clothing, there aren’t any Petite or Tall options here. It is supposed to hit at the hip (no cropped styling here, mercifully) so you may have to play around with which size you decide on depending on your body shape. Here’s what makes this top even better: It can pair with so many different things—jeans, black pants, a denim skirt or even tucked into a tiered midi skirt. And the top is definitely easy to dress up or keep casual, depending on where you’re headed. Heels or flats? Jewelry or no jewelry? It goes with anything and everything so how you style the top is really dealer’s choice. And to further emphasize just what an easy piece this is—that easiness extends to the care instructions, too. Despite the lace applique detailing, the top is actually machine washable, though be sure to follow the label’s instructions exactly to avoid any shrinkage or unwanted holes.
